Cesar Chavez Day of Service

At the May 22, 2025 Ravenswood City School District Board Meeting, YCS was invited to celebrate Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School students for being role models at their school and in our community by dedicating themselves to service. Collectively, the students completed over 300 hours of service.

A huge thank you to Principal Dr. Miley and the team at CCRMS for their support and to RCSD district leadership, especially Gabriel Anguiano Coordinator of Family & Community Engagement for his guidance. With financial support through the East Palo Alto Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) grant, and foundation grants such as the Shinnyo-en Foundation and The Kirven-Morse Family Fund, YCS staff engaged students across RCSD to participate in a series of intergenerational, community wide initiatives to celebrate our diversity, neighborhoods and rich history.
