Summer of Service 2011 Dates

This summer, we will be hosting four separate camp sessions for middle school campers and four sessions for campers entering 9th grade.

YCS Freshmen Leadership Corps
Ready for High School?  Spend two weeks building leadership skills, meeting new friends, and helping create change in the community.  For this summer's community project, the FLC-SOS campers will focus their learning and service on the San Francisquito Watershed.  The campers will learn about the watershed's native plant and animal life, and about challenges facing the watershed from both an ecological and a social perspective.  The campers will gain experience with native and non-native plant identification, water quality testing, creek and Baylands restoration, and preparing a multimedia presentation.  Have fun and enjoy a day at Raging Waters and on the last day celebrate with a pool party.

All camps meet Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:00pm.

Summer of Service-YCS
Want to make a difference? Join SOS and develop leadership skills,
meet new friends, and have fun, while helping out in the community.
Each day campers will go out in teams to local schools, senior centers,
food banks, and parks for service, fun, and games while learning how to
tackle community issues. We also enjoy one day at Raging Waters and a
celebration which includes a pool party.

All camps meet Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:00pm.
