Parents are the first role models when it comes to helping youth develop an ethic of service. Doing service with your child or as an entire family is a wonderful way to spend time with your child and help them learn about issues that you feel are important to address.

As a parent, you can also help support service at your child's school. Several schools, including Palo Alto High School, have parent groups that support service through a variety of ways including sponsoring service activities on Saturdays and giving out service awards and scholarships.

To volunteer as a parent chaperone for a YCS service day, please contact Alicia Gregory at (650) 858-8021 or alicia@youthcommunityservice.org
